Where Korean drinking culture found a proper home in Singapore.

Joo Bar opened with a simple conviction: that Korean drinking culture — long, slow, social, rooted in the ritual of makgeolli and anju — deserved a proper home in Singapore. Not a themed concept. Not a novelty. A bar that took the tradition seriously and rebuilt it for a modern city.

What began as Singapore's first makgeolli bar has since become a kitchen in its own right. We brew our own makgeolli in-house across twelve flavours, from traditional Original to Honeycomb, Green Grape, Soursop and Yucha. The menu reads like a love letter to the Korean table — crispy jeon, signature stews, grilled sharing plates, and bar bites designed to drink with.

Joo Bar remains fiercely independent and unmistakably itself. The kitchen punches above its weight, the bar team knows the rituals by heart, and every evening runs on the same quiet conviction we opened with.
